Luke started martial arts as a teenager after seeing Enter the Dragon starring Bruce Lee. He began training at Ray Longo’s International Martial Arts Academy in the year 2000. After a couple of years of dedicated practice, Luke was invited by Ray to compete as an amateur in his kickboxing promotion Vengeance at the Vanderbuilt. Luke was introduced as a sparring partner to UFC veteran Matt Serra and soon after began training at the Serra Brother’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy. When Ray Longo needed an extra fighter for his new MMA production, Luke got his first professional bout at Ring of Combat I. Luke competed in ROC 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6, scoring wins by KO, TKO, and submission.

In 2005 Luke appeared in The Ultimate Fighter Season 2 on Spike TV, reaching the finals in the welterweight division. Due to his performance in the finale, Luke was offered a contract to compete in the UFC. Stay tuned for updates on future fights.
